Mod 7&8 - Final Project
My final project:
TRiO SSP Student Staff Page
The TRiO SSP student staff page is a resource and training tool for WMU's TRiO Student Success Program's student employees. We have four categories of student employee:
- AM - Academic Mentor - works weekly with students from our FYE classes during the fall semester. Sets up syllabus planning, academic skill learning and general mentorship for our new TRiO SSP students.
- PM - Peer Mentor: works with students in both our FYE classes in the fall and UNIV 1030 classes in the spring. Shows them examples of the class projects, meets with them throughout each semester and provides support during their first year.
- Tutor - Extra class-specific help with expertise in the class being covered. These tutors are usually students, but not necessarily in TRiO SSP.
- Office Staff - Provide office support to the program by answering phones, filing, special projects and entering information into our database of contacts (required by the government) which is called "Student Access."
These elements are included for the student employees' ease of access, education and to bring our small community of TRiO SSP student employees together.

Mod 5 - Digital Stories
My digital story assignment is on the life cycle of robins. I can see this being an assignment for a student in differing levels of complexity depending on the age taught or part of an online learning module from a teacher. The combination of text, voice, and visuals provide a multi-sensory learning experience and makes more a learning experience when compared to just one medium.
